Venice, one of the most romantic city in the world. The canals, the Gondolas, our romantic side has always wished to be there once. After the train trip from Milan, I finally reached Venice.
We decided not to stay on the island but to remain on the mainland, a bridge away from the wonderful Venice island.
We took the bus leading us to the Island and it was very quick indeed. Needless to say that I would rather stay on the island but it was either not appealing choices or prices of hotels way to high. Upon reaching the bus terminal of Venice, I realized that I made the right decision. There were so many people with their luggage and they were all struggling with the stairs and how many more stairs there were for them to reach their destination. Except for the lucky ones who had the concierge of the hotel taking the luggage.
Anyhow, after passing all these people, we reached the first bridge which gives over the canal. I am currently smiling rethinking of this view - it was like in a postcard. I had to stop and gazed...
I had two days in Venice - the first day was to stroll and get lost in the streets and the second day was to go on the small islands around Venice.
Getting lost in the streets was great. Going into small streets and admiring at the beautiful and rustic houses of people. It seems that almost all people living there has a boat; instead of having a car like many of us.

I saw the bridges, some of the most important ones like the bridge of Sighs, the Rialto Bridge.I also enjoyed seeing the Gondolas, though in real it look more of a business than a romantic ride. However it forms part of the beauty of Venice after all.
One of the must see and to which I agree completely is the Piazza San Marco with the Saint Mark Basilica. The Piazza is basically a square surrounded by buildings among which the most important is the Basilica. Restaurants on one side had their own musician bands which definitely matched the atmosphere of this square.

I finally ended up my first day, at a side of the canal to have an Apero. Everyone was with their Spritz and snacks. The sunset was nearly there and I was so satisfied with the first day in Venice.
Next day was the day I would visit two islands which you will see are just beauties; Murano and Burano. These islands are just a boat away from the main Venice Island. First stop was Murano, well known for its glass making tradition. While strolling there, I found this girl who was making musically sound with glasses, it was my first time to see such thing and I was so amazed.
Type Murano on google, you see that picture which comes first. Well, I am still very grateful that I was able to get a picture of myself with that same background. On one side all the little souvenir shops and on the other side, the canals with the boat.

After the first half of the day in Murano, time to go to Burano. Burano is known for the colorful fisherman' houses. This is the cutest thing about Venice. You can see houses of all bright colors. It immediately makes everything so lively and bring so much happiness to the eyes. I believe the best one was the range of colorful houses as you land and one house of different colors which I fell in love with.

After this amazing day, it was time for me to go back on the main island and enjoy the last night in Venice.
I have so much to say about Venice and so much I love. True fact, things are generally expensive - be it food or souvenirs so if you do visit it you need to have a budget. There are so many people during summer and sometimes difficult to get a proper picture; It is quieter in Murano and Burano so even better to visit. Activies are as well expensive but only strolling around is great to do. They say Venice will disappear in the future so I would recommend to see this beauty before.
Apparently, Dolphins were seen in the water of Venice and swans and fishes are enjoying their time in the clear water. Clearly less pollution now with no water traffic. I wished I was there to enjoy the view. Despite the rough time, Venice have faced, i hope so dearly that it get back to normal and people can visit back this beautiful place.
